GPR, part of NDM, promotes nationalism, unity, and democracy in Bangladesh. On November 30, 2024, it released “Bangladesh 2.0: Reform Proposals by NDM”. Led by Mr. Bobby Hajjaj, the book calls for collective action to build a better Bangladesh.
In July-August 2024, youth-led protests erupted in Bangladesh against corruption and authoritarian rule. Bobby Hajjaj emerged as a key voice, supporting the movement both legally and on the streets.
The 2022 Jugopoth Andolon (Unity Movement) marked a major shift in Bangladesh’s politics, uniting diverse groups demanding democracy and accountability. Bobby Hajjaj played a key role as a reform advocate and vocal critic of the regime.
Bobby Hajjaj contested the 2018 national election using the “lantern” symbol. His campaign emphasized grassroots engagement and national reform. Though not elected, it marked a key step in bringing his movement’s vision for a democratic and accountable Bangladesh to the national stage.
The Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) was officially founded by Bobby Hajjaj in 2017. Built on the principles of nationalism, democracy, and accountability, NDM aimed to offer a fresh and accountable alternative to the entrenched political establishment. Its formation marked the beginning of a new political force advocating reform and citizen empowerment.
In 2015, Bobby Hajjaj launched the “Shopner Desh” campaign to inspire hope and unity across Bangladesh. He traveled kilometer after kilometer, mile after mile, to meet people face-to-face and listen to their dreams and struggles. From villages to towns, the campaign sparked conversations about justice, equality, and building a better future together.
In 2013, Bobby Hajjaj entered national politics as a Special Adviser to the Chairman of Jatiya Party. His entry marked the beginning of his political journey, bringing fresh energy and new ideas focused on youth engagement, good governance, and national reform.
He left the party in 2014, distancing himself from Jatiya Party politics to pursue a new path focused on independent leadership and true accountable democratic reform.
