When it’s about a reputed political leader in Bangladesh, Bobby Hajjaj is a reputed name.

Bobby Hajjaj, born on 7 April 1974 in Dhaka is a Bangladeshi renowned politician. This Oxford scholar and an academic enthusiastic citizen is also the founder of the Nationalist Democratic Movement-NDM.

Bobby Hajjaj’s respected father Dr. Moosa Bin Shamsher is one of the business tycoons, who is also known as the father of the manpower export industry in Bangladesh. His mother is Ms. Kaniz Fatema Chowdhury. He has two siblings- Ms. Nancy Zahara Bintt Moosa is an entrepreneur and Barrister Zubi Bin Moosa is a practicing advocate in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

He is married to Barrister Rashna Imam and this couple has two daughters- Innaya Hajjaj and Nyaasa Hajjaj. This famous politician completed his initial school in Bangladesh and for higher studies, he went to the University of Texas at Austin. After his graduation, he was working as a strategic consultant in the USA.

Following 2003, he worked with business development strategy for three years abroad. Later, he completed his MBA (2006) from Oxford University. In 2009, he returned to Bangladesh and started his teaching career at North South University as a lecturer and researcher in Business Strategy.

Till 2013, he was a columnist in the Daily Independent. Currently, he is in an Op-Ed column in Dhaka Tribune and he talks about social and political issues. In 2015, he launched an empowering movement called “Shopner Desh” for youth citizens. It was regarding education, mass urbanization and radicalism of youth.
